NL100 - nut flush on paired board

Postby LeeG » Wed Dec 24, 2008 4:58 pm GMT

100NL 6 Max.
Villain has been at table for about 30 min and been splashing around in quite a few hands, but not had any go to showdown, and no 3 bets from V. I have not played many many hands during this time (been pretty card dead). V has 85 behind to start, I have 190.

Villain UTG+1 Raises to 3. Action folds to me in BB with A :club: T :club: and call.

Flop 4 :club: J :club: 4 :diamond:
I check, V bets 6, I call.

Turn: T :spade:
I check (planning CR), V checks.
River 7 :club:

I bet 15. V Raises to 45.
Hero?

Shove. Unless he flopped Jacks full (unlikely given turn check), his range includes mostly weaker hands, many of which will pay off.

I am a nit, I just call.
Actually I shove as well, villain is too short.

I called the shove. He had pocket 7s. In hindsight, I should have led off on the turn.
