No Action Tables
I just started up PS looking for a 2/4 or 3/6 FL HE ring game but the action at ALL of the tables in the lobby was horrible and I've seen this before. I was wondering if anyone had an explanation for why at times there is just nothing going on.
To repeat something I've said before my criteria for a 'good' fixed limit ring game is an average pot size of 6 x the big blind with 25-35% of players in each hand. I'll accept some variance either way but those are the games I like to play.
Tonight (around 9:30 Eastern Time on a Monday) there was only one table that came close to these criteria and it had a huge waiting list. Most were closer to 3 x BB. Anyway, Monday Night Football isn't on yet. I've seen this situation with some regularity and was wondering if anyone had an explanation.

Re: No Action Tables
limit holdem has been dead for a long time. It's the deadest game online?

In this day and age, you have to be able to beat the regulars to have a winrate in these games, as the tables are almost entirely filled with them.

This is certainly true. When I sit down at a 2/4 or 3/6 FL table I typically have player notes on 1/2 to 2/3 of the players already and some are so familiar I don't need to refer to my notes. I actually do beat these games regularly.
