Why are you playing 79 off suit in SB to begin with? Unless he's got JJ push allin after flop.

just bet out on the flop. its not that bad to CR but you dont want to CR then have an ugly card come on the turn with you being potstuck. just lead out
now that you DID CR, why are you checking this turn? this turn is a great card for our hand so just keep betting. it sure doesnt look like anyone who called your flop raise has you beat so jam the turn!

with two players calling my CR, I'm worried I'm losing to trips. With one caller, I would of lead out, but I just got the feeling something wasn't right.-Bad mistake huh?kingetje wrote:now that you DID CR, why are you checking this turn?

one would think someone with 99 or jj would have made some sort of tiny pre-flop bump, and 55 would have been shut out by all the action. j 9 is the loon spoiler hand here and, well, whaddya gonna do?
The second check is pointless, really - you announced strength by check-raising, so anyone with a brain is going to either give you no more action or try to take the baton away.

I agree. You got your bet (best case when checking turn) get it in.
IMO prelop is terrible if you are considering folding here.

and more importantly, wouldnt they raise a set on this very drawy board???
3rd possible set you forgot about. This one would explain limping into a pot...(drum roll)....77.
One other possible hand I might put villian on here would be J9. Many people often limp into a pot with gappers.
What to do if your Jimmer in his spot?...I can agree with DC to a point but I think most times your shipping your chips over to the lucky villian bastard that caught a set or a higher two pair.

I think pf isn't bad, I would rather fold K2 here, 79 can hit the str8.
I like check/raise too, by leading out with so many players in the pot we risk there will be too many callers.
Getting 2 callers might be tricky, I would say we are ahead about 50% of the time. If those players like to slowplay, even less.
I would lead the turn, as played, it's a coinflip.
