Online Cheating
I have been playing online for 3 years on Planet Poker & Party Poker I have made between $2500 & $3500 On pacific Poker about $7500. have not won any money on planet in 2 years playable hands are rare and then the flop is crap if I do hit I get rivered. I go up and down each time down is a little further till I,m broke. Playing on Party is like treading water. Every single time I cashed out I then went broke. And Pacific is unbelievable No cards I get 7 2 20 times for every AK.
I have heard rumors about cardrooms raising difficulty levels for good players to level the fieland my experience would bear this out.
Sharks eat all da fish = no fish = less cash for da house
I would appreciate your opinions

I've been playing online for about 2 years, and from my experience, I'd seriously doubt those rumors for a few reasons.
First of all, card rooms would have to have some way of tracking individual players, and then somehow evaluating their "skill level". With 3000+ players at any given time at some of the larger poker rooms, this would be an incredibly difficult operation to evaluate.
The second reason is that poker rooms LOVE good players... Simply put, the experienced player who is making money will continue to play more and more and keep making the house money. Thats why most poker rooms offer comps... online poker is a customer loyalty market. Card rooms much prefer regular players to the occasional recreational player who doesn't know what he/she is doing. Inexperienced players are more likely to take their winnings and run rather than try to build up a good bankroll.
Where did you hear this rumor, anyways?

Here is one for you, and its TRUE!!!
Now, I have heard this kinda thing from numerous players, ill let you in on my experience.
I have played on maybe 6 sites in my life, and only 3 with any kind of regularity, TruePoker by far the most, PartyPoker for a while till it got the rush after the WPT ended, and finally UB.
While I enjoyed PartyPoker a great deal, I felt like the cards were fairly even. Now I goto TP and about 10-14 days in a play for about a 5 hour secession. In that time and you wouldnt believe it with your own eyes, I make not 1 but 2 str8 flushes, one 8 high and the other Q high which took down an ace high flush. ON TTTOOOPPP of that I also made a royal flush of hearts. Now the str8 flush with the queen was also hearts and the 8 high was with diamonds, before or since i have never made one with blacks. I have never before or since made a str8 flush or royal on any site. I have folded a str8 flush once, but that was a 46 to 1 shot to win the pot and thats not good enough odds to risk my rent money. Can you blame me there. Now, one could argue its all about playing time. On TP in the 4 months I have played there, that I remember clearly. I made 1 royal flush hearts, Qhigh str8 flush with hearts, and 8 high str8 flush with diamonds. I have made 4 aces, 4 kings, 4 queens (which i folded and caught 2 running queens go figure) 4 jacks, 4 T's, 4 9's and 4 6's(that one on the flop no doubt, in a 3-6 limit holdem game.) This all sounds very weird to me. Now my close poker buddy is a killer omaha player. He has played nearly any site with H/L Split Omaha on it, and he has only made pocket 4 of a kind on TP and has done it more than once he says, I have only seen one screen shot but I believe him. While I have put more time in TP than really any other site, it stands to reason I hit more hands there.
Though I still wonder about such things, it could be my weird imagination. Flat out, In my opinion and experience would I say some sites have different hand deal outs than others, as in you get bigger hands more often at one than another, I would STRONGLY disagree. I could player poker on TP for 12 months 10 hours a day and not ever see a royal again.
Do I think sites purposely manipulate their cards dealt, to draw in players and money into the pots. I surely hope not, and while I would much rather play casino poker than online. I dont have that option where I live. I trust these sites and their software. There are commissions that by law go around and randomly test sites for their random card generators. I havent ever heard of a site failing this test. Though, if you guys want to know how one card room does it exactly, goto PokerStars.com and read their info, very interesting for sure. I am sure many sites do their random number generation differently than their counterparts. Though, looking at this logically, it ISNT in the sites best interests to cheat with their card generators.
Anyhoo Ill get off my soap box, I just dont want people to become discouraged to play online. All it might take is ONE site being caught ONCE for things to turn very badly for the whole industry I am sure law makers are looking for any excuse to crack down HARD.
Thanks for reading and I hope anyone who was kind enough to listen to one crazy players lonely babble has the fortune to turn many aces in the hole this week. Best of luck to you all.

Somehow I doubt the bigger online sites cheat (are there small online card rooms? pokerroom is smallest I know of) for the same reason I don't think real casinos cheat. They are being paid to give you a fair game.
In the real casinos your rakes and to some amount your tokes go to pay for a nice place to play. But they also play for security of having a fair safe game. I have been to some nasty card rooms, and for sure the rakes and tokes there obviously hadn't paid for a new paint job in 10 years, but the fact is I still fealt I was getting a very good safe game, and so I gave them the rakes and tokes they deserved for this.
It's easy to get a bad beat or weird deal online and blame it on the online site. But it's also easy to get a bad beat or weird deal in a card room and put it up to sheisty dealers or a bad luck casino.
Fact is online you play more hands per minute, more hands means more chances for weird stuff to happen. And trust me, you will remember the werid time you saw someone get dealt pocket jj way more than you will remember the 3000 legit hands that happened in between.
I have had weeks where I seriuosly got nothing but low cards in my pocket, and any hand that materialized we beat on the river. I have lost tourneys after not playing a single hand because I couldn't. Then I have had aa, kk, aa, tt dealt to me in order. I believe it is truly random.
Think of it like this, if you take a truly random list of 10k numbers, you will have strings of the same occur in several places. Some strings probably up to or even over a dozen long. You would notice these for sure, they would stick out like sore thumbs. But you wouldn't remember the 9680 numbers that didn't make any noticeable pattern.
With the gaming board checking in on them I feel a little safer, but most of my belief in fair online gaming comes from the knowledge that they make money off me whether I win or loose, but I have to be playing. And I will be playing if I win more. I don't see them cutting my wins as that woudln't keep me on, and if they give me more wins, they will loose other players.
Until either everyone is a master at gambling, or no one wants to test the waters, casinos will make money being fair.
