Not being someone who knows the rules and regs of the US, their seems to be too many "If's & buts" for me. Do you read it like that too?

I'm curious why I didn't get this directly from PPA as I'm a member. It is very interesting and POTENTIALLY big news. PPA tends to claim a moral victory in every small step as they need enthusiasm from members to keep the dues coming in. I wrote to them and asked for more balanced reporting.
So, it IS interesting but it is also true that nothing in legislatures ever moves quickly. If this ruling becomes policy I wonder if the Black Friday indictments will be overturned.
Thanks for sharing this.

I think if accurate black friday claims shud be overturned and stars and what not will be allowed back in the US after regulation. The money laundering claims made against Lederer and Bitar will remain though.

It will be interesting to see how these are handled. Remember that the charges against the sites and their operators weren't for poker but for the financial machinations. The outcome will hinge on whether the financial misbehaviors were illegal in their own right or only because they were financing poker/gambling. If the former the sites could end up with the charges remaining in place even if the legality of poker is confirmed.
If all is forgiven PokerStars will come out smelling like a rose since they were so fast and responsible in returning U.S. player funds.
