OOP w AK: Check, check, raise?

Postby ErinJeff » Sat Jun 21, 2008 4:56 pm GMT

No previous history or reads with villain. I didn't 3bet pre- because I wanted to re-eval the flop OOP here, and I don't know my oppo.

Obviously, the best hand I beat is trip Qs and AQ or KQ are possible raising hands. QJ and QT I lose, but they are the best for a raise beyond the steal? A flush is always a possibility, so do I take the chance or muck this?

Call here, raise?

Thanks. How do you figure the 2.78:1? I mean what's that based on?

I think this explanation is quite confusing. Did you mean the set (boat) or just trips? I think it's not possible to count exactly the probability of trips (and anything else), you probably put some range into pokerstove, but that's far from being exact.
I would probably call too, at least to know, what he has. :)
Oh, didn't he have royal?

unless u have a v good read its a fold imo

the way it was played he either hit the flush or had a boat
i just dont belive he would slowplay trips and then when every draw possible hits he would raise , would have to be a pretty stupid player

if he's aggressive he could be comming back over the top with atc.

JJ is going to c-bet this flop.
Qx isnt going to let you draw.

Only hand he's slow playing here is QQ.

but i think A  k  is the only hand that makes any sense other than a bluff.

Ding, ding, ding.

Slow played quads have it. Thanks for the advice. His river raise (and no history) made me think enough of a chance he has a Q, and not the FH or flush. I was right!
