Open ended straight on a cheap flop

Postby jimmer » Fri Oct 02, 2009 4:49 pm GMT

Just been moved to the table, so I have no info on the other players. As you can see, my M is pretty small, so I need to make a move soon.

Preflop
1. As nobody shows great strength preflop, should I push all in (or even just raise) and hope to steel the pot?

On the flop;
2. I'm guessing if I don't push all-in now, someone else will bet and I will be forced to fold right? Therefore my options are push all-in now or check-fold. (Is this assessment correct?)

3. If my assessment is correct, do I get my money in the middle now, or hope for a fee card?

Ship, hope to take it down. No one is likely to have an Ace, and you have decent equity if called.

I'd just shove on the flop.

As for preflop I dunno about just shoving coz I'm guessing a small tourney like this you won't find many folds against a limper.

Ship where? Preflop or on the flop?

On the flop. I don't see much sense going after it when you could take a free flop with your hand. I don't trust limpers, like ever.
