opening up my game

Postby smoove » Fri Sep 12, 2008 10:46 am GMT

this is about live tournaments:

i consider myself an average to above average cash game player. i usually walk away on the plus side, but i don't crush games unless i hit monsters. i'm generally conservative, which works fine at 1/2 cash games and early on in tournaments, but have trouble in the middle stages.

this might be general, but any advice on how i should open up my play and become more agresssive in tournaments without donking off chips?

There is a ton of post about this question and really there is no real answer without knowing your game. Mid game / deep tourney is I think were people fall short of their game. Applying pressure for people's tournament life deep is key cause most dont wanna bust out for obvious reasons.

I would advise picking up a book or joining a site like cardrunners or soemthing.
