Paid to blog

I'm thinking about spending more time blogging and as part of the process was wondering if there was an opportunity to get paid-to-blog.

I have absolutely no idea where to start.

Has anyone had experience of this, or ideas on how it is possible?

This is literally the worst way/reason to get interested in blogging. Usually people like to have content before they start paying you for stuff

Do you know anything about selling writing? Focusing a website? Stuff like that?


This is like every year how 20-somethings think about making an "online comic" and then just either make a vulgar 2 person back-and-forth a la penny-arcade.com or rant about video games a la vgcats.com or something... Then they ask about how to sell their merch after 5 strips =P

If you want paid for doing something you enjoy Jimmer...then look into sperm bank donating...

Supply and Demand.

I think if you want to make money from something like a blog you need to be literate and insightful. But even if you have that it still takes time to build up an audience before someone would be interested in paying you for advertising space.

If you want to publish an opinion write a blog, if you want to earns some extra cash deliver pizzas

Generate hits - have banners and ads people click on - profit.

Now all you have to decide is how to determine your subject. Profiteering, racketeering, lies, truth, nudity or no nudity. etc.
