PFR/check call/donkbet. Confused how to proceed.
Villain is 18/14/2 over 40 and hasn't previously come to my attention. The flop is scary and the turn doesn't beat a made flush, but am I now committed to this hand given the st8?

I went back and forth and decided I like raising turn here and probably get it all in if pressed. I was originally thinking he was just testing your hand but the bet is big enough I think he has something.
Unlucky if he has the flush once you got that turn card.

I'm now slowing down with bluffs on monoboards because I find cbets have a lowish success rate (vs fish)

this..think you are looking at 2 pair here usully or lower straight. If he has a flush so be it but I think laying it down wouldnt be correct.supafrey wrote:ErinJeff wrote:bump
Any other thoughts on this hand?
As played, raise turn. Very likely get it all in if pushed.

Not to beat this to death, but should the action have (should have) gone differently on the flop and turn?

If you just call the turn, raising the river seems absolutely useless. Either he has what he is representing, in which case you are screwed, or he doesn't, in which case it's unlikely he's paying off anyway unless he has exactly K9.
I probably call the turn with the intent of calling down. It's a nit play, and now it looks terribly results-oriented, but that is my frequent MO in this type of hand. If he has it, raising will produce much the same result, but if he doesn't, we let him bluff off money.

I dont think hes donk leading the turn to bluff fold, but I think we have him beat.supafrey wrote:xDiamond_CutteRx wrote:I probably call the turn with the intent of calling down.
