Play Money - No Big Deal, but...

...I think I came across my first encounter with a cheater last night.

many of you are playing over at that FullTiltPoker. the graphics are very kewl and although i have no clue what value the bonus points we're all earning now are going to be good for, i still sit at a table every night while i'm doing other things (since it's play money, it's nice to just multitask and earn those bonus points).

anyway... last night i sit down at a table and after a few minutes i realize that one of the players has 34000+ dollars.

now mind you, this is a 5/10 NL table with a max sit down of 1000 bucks.

i asked how long this guy had been sitting at the table and he says 4 hours. now, granted, he may have been lying and been there all day... who knows.

anyway... hand, after hand, after hand, after hand, this guy is hitting sets of face cards, str8's, all sorts of premium hands. hes winning money left and right. this goes non stop for like 40 minutes. he folds a hand here and there, but basically he's playing 90% of the hands dealt and winning just about every hand he plays. against a full table of players.

like i say, it's play money and so i didn't really care much. i just switched tables and did my thing. but i found it interesting anyway. it's the first time i've had an encounter like that at an online table.

IF he was indeed cheating somehow... that could be a major concern for play over at fulltilt once they go live with the real $$ tables (which i can't wait for... i'm looking forward to some live action over there).

anyway... just thought i'd share.

was everyone at tha table seeing him to the river or were they folding because he had a big stack?

generally what was happenung was that he was putting ppl all in. sine its play $$, ppl go all in all the time, so u got to see his cards a lot.

Its possible he was on a lucky streak. I was at the casino last saturday and i couldnt lose. I got A,Ko - K,K - As,Ks - Q,Q - 6,7o (on big blind and it turned into a straight) all those in a row as the first 5 hands i got when i sat down at the table. i won all 5 pots.

this is true. but it's not like he was catching a pair of aces on an AQo against a JJ or something. if he had AQ, he was picking up the A set at least if not the boat.

and it wasn't just like 3 hands in a row. if he played, it was consistant time after time for the full 40 or so minutes i was sitting there.

could have been a total fluke... i don't know. i'm not trash talking the site or anything... i really like their software.

i just found it currious is all.

yeah, i saw a few guys at 5/10 with huge 20,000 plus bankrolls and i did think that was pretty fortunate. but i have built 13,000 plus at the same tables so it IS possible. of course i then proceeded to go on tilt at the 200/400 tables. LOL

You might want to email their development team or whatever and give them his name and see what they find out, if he is in fact cheating theyd really appreciate you letting them know so they can fix it before the real money starts.
