Player VIP Status Now Shown on Stars
PokerStars just added a feature that shows little stars (with a tool-tip if you put your mouse over it) under players who have reached one of their VIP levels. I'm not sure what I think of this. To my mind it's giving away information, though I'm not sure how useful it may actually be.
It was kind of wierd to see two different supernova players sitting at $2/4 FL ring tables.
What do you think of this feature?

If I had to make a BIG generalization, I would say that higher VIP level players are probably better players, all things being equal. However, I would not really base my opinion of someone off their displayed stars. I concealed mine from everyone else. Personally, I think it's a stupid feature and I'm not sure what Stars had in mind by doing this. A chance for Supernovas to show off their E-penises?

Jernej, thanks for this info. I must have missed the memo from PS!!
There's one guy who I see a LOT at the $2/4 and $3/6 FL tables who's up there at SuperNova. I've never used the Find a Player feature to see where he's playing but I'd be willing to bet he's racking up a lot of points just from volume of play.

I agree with this. Full tilt has had little icons on the avatars of players who have reached iron man status (something I also have as little chance of reaching as anything above Bronze star), and they usually play a game between ABC to very good. Very rarely will I see one of them being a real donkey.
I also don't mind showing off my Bronze star if it plants just a little notion in an opponent's head that I don't know what I'm doing.

Anything to give a little mis-information is a good thing if you ask me.
