Well, so far I watched the first episode and the currently last one - the cash games.
Watch it - spoilers follows.
The cash game was the Nets against the vets. The brought pretty good net's that do represent some of the best net young kid. However am not sure about the vets. Did they just brought the oldest guys they can find?
Sure Doyle is Doyle and no one will ever doubt his place at any poker players. But as much as I like Eli (I'm Israeli as well) does he really represent the best live poker players. And what about Gabe? I think they could have made a better effort with the vets section.
In any case, the game was actually much tighter then expected. The net played a pretty solid game where they didn't call with speculative hands OOP and didn't called 3B with dominated hands etc..
Only one hand really stuck in my mind where Doyle made a big miss read and a huge blunder in my mind, but was lucky enough to make that move against one of the best player who could actually fold the monster he was holding.
Raptor opened 65o from early and Doyle decided to call with KJo from mid (very questionable call to begin with) btw, Taylor folded ATo from the SB. A hand a lot of the vets will call with.
the flop was 66Kr Raptor bet, Doyle called. Pretty standard so far.
Turn was a blank 8 and Raptor bet again. At that point Doyle call again. in the dir cut he says that he put Raptor on AK/AA and was going to fold river. Again, this call is questionable though not bad. As Raptor can easily be trying to push Doyle off a hand like 77/99. The river was a J and Raptor again bet pretty big. Now Doyle thought for a while and raised.
Now from his demur, and what he said after in the dir cut, he didn't porously turned his hand into a bluff. He simply decided Raptor for Ak and decided to make a raise that even AK can't call... Meaning he never get value from worse.
Lucky for him Raptor did the only real possible play in those circumstances and folded his hand face up (still, Doyle though Raptor folded an 8 for a while)
While watching the hand I was really hoping for Raptor to call, though I knew there was no chance he'll ever do it.
I have to say that from this episode, the Net played much better. I wish it could say that it goes to show that us net player have an edge (or at least not in disadvantage against people who play tons of live) but like I said earlier I don't think they chose the best vets....
Would have been much better to see people like Jennifer Harmen, Daniel and even Sammy.

i think when he went out he had an M of 1. he would also limp/fold and min-raise/fold PF with less than 10 bb. Then muck every hand faceup to let a table of pro's know exactly how bad he was playing. Anonyminty was the one advantage he had at the table. I've never actually shouted at TV before.
then again maybe he wanted to maximise his time at the table, which i imagine is quite fun. Still i'd rather go out in spectacular bluffing glory than get blinded away.
