I'm taking the mickey Geno. We clearly have a someone who has no idea about poker trying to change the world.
I'm not entirely sure where he's leading this thread, but I can see us banning him in a few days. (I could be wrong of course, but that's the way it looks to me)

Re: Poker Forums, whats the use?!
Poker forums are full of people. Thus you get the wise ass who provides no insite into your question and you get those who really do try to help. You weed out the bad info and only read the good.
Besides poker forums like this are a great place to post hands and ask questions like how would you have played this hand. Or did I play this hand correctly type questions.
Look at it this way...if one persons wisdom can help you...think what the wisdom of several people can do for you.

Re: Poker Forums, whats the use?!
Okay so i know there is no simple answer to some questions asked in poker, but not all, some questions can have a yes/no answer im sure, or at least a common answer or preference, with detailed replies.
People on this forum seem too quick to put someone down without constructive answers, the alpha male bs because of their sad frequent existences on forums, does that get your ppl off or something? I dont understand the enjoyment and drive to put ppl down on here, maybe its something to do with bad upbringing. Let me guess next somebody is going to go into why that might be because someone is always the 'expert'.
Anyway wasnt gonna share the link but if it gets me kicked off here i think i might add it in.

I've just been to the URL he linked - it's a site that launches on 1 Jan 2010 and is the 'Yahoo Answers of the poker world'.
Clearly the geniuses behind it have decided that sending angry people on to poker forums to stir up trouble then spam a link is solid advertising. Brilliant

You still made a great post dude. Log it into the books as great advice. Yes it was wasted on an asshat, but then again how many other good posts have been wasted. Look at everytime (insert favorite THP poster) posts and wastes the forum space...
