Pokerpages Tourneys - BBP = real money?

Alright, so after some research, Bugsy Points from free tournaments hosted several times EVERY day on pokerpages can be convereted to real money- 1000 points for 10 dollars. 1000 points is the hard part though. If you place first in a tournament you get 150 points- otherwise nothing...
I know it's a tall task, but I'm thinking it's possible to do. Any suggestions on how to beat the 400 person tournaments? Top 27 places pay, albeit minorly.
