pokerroom.com inquiry

Postby ballbp » Tue Sep 23, 2003 4:17 pm GMT

I play for play money now on Pokerroom.com and I'm considering moving on to real money. Is there any significant problems with this site that I should be aware of? In the play mode, I do encounter a slow connection about once a night. I would hate this if I was holding bullets. Thanks for the input.

i dunno bout that, but the entire site shut off today for like 20 minutes... instead of the usual 750 people 3pm fake money tourney... they only had 191... but now its working fine...

guess thats likely to happen everywhere

Hi Ballbp,

I am in the same situation as you. I have been using PokerRoom.com's play money tables and I'm ready to start playing for real money. I notice that they have very few tables offering stakes of $5-$10 or better and they are mostly always empty. I don't want to waste my time playing low-limit $1-$2 all evening and end up winning no more than twenty-five or thirty dollars.

Does anybody know if PokerRoom.com always has such little action? Do some of the other Internet poker rooms get much more action? Is this maybe the "off-season" for poker (LOL).

Hey what's up righthand,

I don't know about the lack of action as far as the site is concerned since I as you are just starting to move up, but I do have one bit of advise. Maybe the 1/2 tables aren't a bad start since as anyone's posts on here form Carson and Adam to the one post guys will tell you, there is a big difference between play and real $. Play them and see how it goes. +$30 in one night is better than running into one of these seasoned guys that can put you down $100 in an hour. Just a thought man. Got to crawl before you walk right? Later
