Poker exploding in Norway!

Postby games4u » Sat Oct 01, 2005 9:51 pm GMT

Norway plays poker for about $800 000 000,- a year now! That's a huge growth in my country.

The media are calling it sicknes.. because the amount of money has been doubled so many times. I called it increased interest for a great game of skill.

What do you think about this matter? Do you think norwegians will play themselves out of their homes? :D

I even wrote a nice reply to this damn topic, and then as it turns out this is just thinly disguised spam!

Go bust your roll!

Good stuff. :)

Then I'll give the answer I originally intended to give:

I've begun noticing alot of students who play on pretty big stakes. Last week I played with three students who regularily play 100$ SNGs and 10$/20$ NL cash games. That's pretty steep considering their income. They also seemed like bad players, didn't have a clue about pre-flop odds for various simple scenarios, didn't seem to know about simple pot odds for straight and flushdraws etc.

But for most people I don't think it is a problem, we are the most filthy rich country in the world, and people here have so much spare money to spend its sick.

i think you need to check out the forum rules. signature links are not permitted. neither are non url ads for websites ex: partypoker.com instead of www.partypoker.com
