Thanks. I guess since there are now confirmed differences between tables I should state that the supplier I used was "solidwholesale".

Folding Table

Postby dannyocean » Mon Aug 22, 2005 11:01 pm GMT

That's who I ordered from too. I hope this does help everyone. It would have helped me since the reason I bought from solidwholesale was that they were obviously cheaper and I thought it would look just like my buddies table. Fortunatley, I liked it better.

I am getting a sample of one of these this week. I will let you know my verdict.

The biggest key to these is how easily the felt can be changed.

Got a sample one through yesterday and my reaction was mixed. The rail, padded surface, felt and cup holders are all fine. However the table isn't sturdy enough. It wobbles and the fold in the middle doesn't lock. And also the quality of finishing on the underside is poor.

It they added something to make it sturdier and cleaned up the finishing and added a lock - then it would be an excellent budget table. I have told the manufacturers my opinions - hopefully they will up the standard.

Which table supplier/manufacturer is the one you are referring to?

Ebay poker tables

Postby dannyocean » Tue Sep 20, 2005 10:40 pm GMT

jersey,

Can't say much about those tables, but the table I got from solidwholesale on Ebay was really nice and you can't beat it for $120 shipped. The more I use it the more I love it. The cards slide a lot better on its felt than they do on my friends similar table. His has cheap felt, like many of the cheap holdem style tables

By any chance, when making the recommendations to the manufacturer, is this what you were comparing it to or what you would like it to be?

Yeah that underside is much better. I'll send that to the supplier and see what they say.

I ended up getting this table:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Got it for $160 delivery included. Not bad.

This table is different from the other tables above, as it is 8 feet long, not 7. I wanted the extra length for added comfort. Seems to be a sturdy table, heavy, felt seems of a good quality (seems to be felt, hasn't started pilling yet, I'll let you know as time progresses). I'm actually happy with what I got, especially for the money I paid. Everyone loves the table, so all in all a decent buy. There were some small rips under the cup holder rims, that I'm going to crazy glue so they don't spread, but I'm still very happy with the table.
