holding a tournament

Postby headache » Sun Aug 24, 2003 1:47 am GMT

Hi, I want to hold a texas no hold em tournament between 10 friends. If someone has a good site with some information on doing this. I also have a few questions:

I need to know where I can find a good betting structure for a small tournament with like a $20 buy in, I may use it or just learn from it and modify it.

Also I need a good site with a complete rule book for texas no hold em. A text document with lots of rules for different situations, just the complete rules for standard texas no hold em.

If you guys can hook me up with that and your own advice that would be great.

Thank you.

headache,
check out this thread, it is a discussion I've been having with a couple of people regarding the same thing.........

http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/forum/ ... -of-advice

Here is a Website with some basic information that I found useful. This is a pretty good resource that should answer any questions you may have.

http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/

Another nice site is:
http://www.poker-hands.ws/
Clicking on each of the three links under ‘Rules and Strategies’ category on the left side of the page will bring up a pop-up box with a lesson on poker. Definitely worth a look.

Hope it helps

Oh yea don't I feel dumb.

I am actually holding a poker tournament with a few friends in a week and I had written an email with a link to the 2 sites I mentioned in the thread, so that they could brush up on the game if they had wanted. I just copied and pasted that section of the email. I didn't even reread it!!
