what chips to buy

Postby norcal17 » Thu Dec 22, 2005 3:30 am GMT

ok i just started playing poker about 6-7 months ago. I have been playing alot lately and i have a crappy set of chips. I was wondering what the best chips to get at a reasonable price. I dont want to pay to much because i havent been playing long, so maybe under 60? I know i am not going to get very good ones at that price but a set of decent ones atleast.

With the recent poker craze that hit the nation, many stores are now carrying some decent sets of poker chips. Stores like Toys R Us, Sams, Walmart offer some good cheaper sets. Faux clay or composite chips but they work for what you want, handle better then the cheap plastic chips and look good.

urgh, don't buy chips at walmart or one of those stores. you can get better chips cheaper.

my rec: http://5stardeal.com/expand.asp?pid=9094

they're nearly the cheapest chips around (6 cents each), and they feel more like clay than anything you'll get up to about 50 cents per...

Well you could get a 1000 of these for 60 bucks

OR these for the same price

Both decent chips for home games and such. I have the latter of the 2 and they work great.

You might check into nevada poker chips site I saw a set of Texas Holdem
11.5 gr. 100% clay 500 ct. w/ case,cards,ect. for 24.95 plus shipping.
Exact same set on other sites were around 119.00 could be a cheaper case, but looked ok to me. hope this helps. DC
