It's not a 'game' you just make bets with other people. Like you bet your friend $10, if a flop comes all black u get his $10, if it comes all red he gets it. You can make up anything you want...

Ummmm...I'm not following. Proposition bets are betting on ANYTHING. These happen a lot in sports. For the Super Bowl you can get proposition bets on some pretty ridiculous stuff. Here are some interesting proposition bets for the 2005 Super Bowl.

Among the entertaining ones...

Who will have more?
Dillon rushing attempts: -5 1/2 (-115)
Rockets' Yao Ming points: +5 1/2 (-115)

I dunno why I dug this up just now, but I believe that there is one, or a few, sets of "props" that some of the high stakes players regularly play... so "props" in that usage doesn't refer to proposition bets in general, but to a specific set of prop bets that those players frequently partake in.

This could be completely wrong: I only glance at Negreanu's blog occasionally, and obviously I've never even played 1/10th the stakes they regularly play, so I have no experience to back any of it up.
