Quick ? for people with SUITED chips.
I just got my set on ebay today.
regarding your white chips, are actual color COLOR of the suits a black color or a dark blue color?
mine are a black color but in the auction picture it was a dark blue color..
these suited chips feel different to me from my friends set. i'm gonna compare them directly when i have the chance. they feel somewhat lighter. i'm not sure if they have a metal insert in them or not.. i tried sticking a refridgerator magnet to it but it didn't stick, i doubt it's strong enough anyway.
anyway.. i remember coming across a website that compared poker chip sets? anyone have a link?
here is the ebay auction i won them from:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 42335&rd=1
they do feel pretty nice tho.. really easy to shuffle.. i can do 9 chips on each side pretty easily

The link makes it look like you got 9gram chips without metal. A lot of people like those better, so you probably made out very well.

yeah.. no where on the auction it saids 11.5...
oh i found the website comparing chips:

these do have more of a 'clay' feeling.
i've owned a set of dice chips and they felt a lot cheaper. i do like the edged stripe design though.

from what i've read, the clay style of this chip is a bit better than the plastic ones...
wonder why these sell for cheaper? I'm guessing it's b/c the newer chip buyers believe that heavier = better.

They are actually the same weight as the other chips. (I have both)
I don't know why they are cheaper. 5stardeal is selling the chips (the clay feeling ones) for .22 each on their hot deals section.
Good stuff, IMHO.

yeah, i thought about picking some up... although i thought they were only .16 each, but i may be mistaken.
I'm saving up my dough till the end of summer... then i'll buy a nice set of chipco chips, or have some custom made.
