$1000 THP Freeroll at PartyPoker on Feb 4th @ 3PM EST
Yea, I was down big early. I limped w/ 99 and flop was 10 8 x, Nick came out firing 60 or so. I called. Turn J, so now I was open ended and called another bet. River 9, I really couldnt put him on a Q or 7 since he was betting the entire way. I thought my set was good. He bet 300 more and I called. I likely would have called an all in there.
He had Q5.
He had Q5.

You think??
I had insane hands before you took me out.
55, 88 (4 times), TT, JJ, KK, AA, AQ (3 times), and a few KQs, KJs and such..., and I only played like 30 hands.
I came in the tournament late, I missed at least 10 hands. First hand I played, flopped K high flush against Sal, but since I had the new beta version of PP, alot of bugs: the suits were flickering, I wasn't sure if I really had the flush...
Then, first hand back, get 88 in LP, I raise, Dias call with his A7, flop comes 776.
Few hands later, some guy goes all-in preflop out of nowhere with AJo, I call with 55, and he catches an A on the flop. Pretty bold move by me though... a bit too aggressive.
Next hand, I double up with AA.
Two or 3 hands later, AQ, catch a Q on the flop, I push all-in after Dias reraised me, he calls with his TT, catches a T on the river. Me=out.
You could tell from the flickering suits in my first hand, that this was going to be a rough tournament.

I had paired my 5
I'm still annoyed with the first hand too, because you re-raised me pre-flop and after the flop. I should have let you take the lead on the turn, but I bet it hard and you folded. Had I picked up another 2 or 300 there, then you would have been out on the 9's.
After that though, a fantastic comeback, and some excellent big stack play. I don't think I used my stack well when I had 1k more than everyone on the table in the early stages. Pretty soon I was sat on the same stack and was 1k behind everyone. I think I got scared off having Sid and Scan one side of me and Adam and Dave on the other side.

Aye, that beta software was messing with you bad
And I know I got lucky catching ya with the 10s
But i actually thought you were pressuring with a lower pocket pair....mis-read on my part, and it panned out..
All I can do is shrug there..heh

GL gentlemen
I think I ended up busting you
I was so pissed at myself later. I donked off a large amount of my chips to (I think) SCBet on an ill-timed bluff. I haven't played in many tournies other than SNGs and I think my patience was waning. Still finished 20th so I guess that's not too bad. I had a lot of fun and I hope to do it again soon.

Early exit. My mind wasn't in the right place, I gave a bunch of chips to b0caj (is that ballbp?) on a horrible second pair/busted flush bluff. Anyway, I see he made good use of them.
Well done Dave, congratulations.

Yeah it's possible... I wonder if I would've pushed all-in on your 250 bet, if that would've made any difference. Anyway, doesn't matter... I'm just glad you finished 5th, so my chips served you well...
BTW, golddog, b0caj is Dias.
