I like Ultimatebet. THANKS!
Thanks to those guys that recommended Ultimatebet. I played for cash on party, paradise, pokerroom, gaming club, and some I forgot.
I started a few days ago on ultimate with $100. I just cashed out $700 and still have $100 left in the account to build again. Plus the $35 sign up bonus.
My key to winning on there was easy. At least every table had a guy that raised to the river with any pair. Simply holding out for the good hands and jamming aces worked well. I dropped a few starting hands from my playable list (A2-A8 os, low suited cards, Q10+under) Of course I loosened up a bit if it was running hot or there was a low number of players. Any big loss was a bad beat. I started at .50/1.00 and made my way up every stake amount up til $5/$10. I was suprised to find suckers in the 5/10. Best players seemed to be at the 3/6 level. I had to leave a few tables at this level, because I suspected some collusion. I guess thats on every site.
Anyhow, thanks for the advice. I'm goin to Sizzler!

Hi
i have the same story as you, at UB.
i was starting with 30$ at the 1-2$ holdem, after one hour i got 140-150$, again with the people is raiseing all the way to the river with second or third pole pair, against top pair or two pairs, after that i was going over to Annie duke's table 4/8$ omaha hi-low kill game, and there we was 10 people, and there i won 300$ because people was going all way out in the hope for low. so after 3 hours gaming i have won 400-450$..
The day after, i will try my poker skillz out on a 10-20$ table holdem, i should never done that, i lost 200$ but still i have won 200$, and still playing at the poker site on 1-2$ to 3-6$ Texas holdem and 4-8$-> pot limit Omaha hi-low, not on the high stakes table in there to tough for me

Thanks for the tips guys-I have been playing online for about a month off and on. When I started, I won almost $1000 in a week, then I went cold as ice and was doubting what I was doing.
When I started, I started 1/2 2/4 and then jumped up to 5/10 since things were going so well.
Then I cashed most out and went to 3/6, which is what I play at a live game card club and got completely waxed in hours.
Recently I have been playing 2/4 and finding stupid betting again and winning about $40 and hour (getting good cards too, but mostly capitalizing on stupidity). I also play a little $25 buyin NL-just to get more familiar w/ it, not doing quite as well, but still making a little.
Getting back to 3/6, I found that every table had a few very aggressive and random betting players that were real hard to get a beat on. Every pot cost $20-30 to see the river, and I found myself playing what I thought was smart, but folding winning hands early (crappy hands, but no one else had anything). Lots of real tough beats too-flopping a straight and someone hitting a boat. Or getting boats on the turn and someone catching a larger one on the river. Maybe it was just a bad run, but for now I will take the easy 2/4 money (until that runs dry!)
Thanks again-sometimes low stakes mean more money!

These guys live on the philosophy that the player that bets at the pot will win the pot most often. Frankly, its true and this bet monkey will win verse most players that value their money. If there are 6 players at the table and one is betting every pot, I will play half as many pots and knowingly drop some winning hands, but when I do win a pot its gonna be bigger. Use the bet monkey to your advantage. Other players will see the same thing you do. Watch their confidence level to high betting, it will help you get a read on them. Likewise, they may see you as conservative. A few slow plays seems to mix it up some.
Basically, I see it as one $50 pot equals two $25 pots.

Question for you Zito...
w/ an overly aggressive player betting and raising frequently, do you fold if you have hands that should be a winner and play only hands that are near locks?
For example-say I have AK and a A 10 9 is flopped. Everyone knows that this guy will be betting or raising, so everyone w/ anything sticks around. I should have a winning hand, but if you put in $20-30 for a $80-100 pot, I kept getting burnt on straight or flush draws. No one would drop out because the bluff was always in play. Would you wait to be flopped 2 pair, or make sure that there are no straights of flushes possible?
I think that I can make money against these guys, I just hate the huge swings in my stack of chips. The down 20, down 40, down 50, big win up $30 stuff frustrates me.

If I have top pair with a good kicker and there is no flush or str8 draw, I assume I'm the winner and play it to get the most money outa the other players. Biggest fear here is that someone flopped their trips and you don't know it. With aggressive preflop betting, you don't get a reference on every players starting hand. Another possiblility is the player that plays every suited under hand and lucks into the low trips or 2 pair. Also, think about how many players are at the table. At a 10 player table, you'll see more flushes and str8s. If you see a player that likes to str8 and flush draw, thats a good thing. The odds are on your side, but poker is gambling so try to take bad beats intellegently and take advantage of lucky breaks...
Just a few weeks ago, I had AK and the flop was A Q 8. I bet preflop and 2 called. I bet and was reraised, so I called to the river but lost to QQQ from a Q on the river. Very next hand, I got 44. Same guy raised preflop and got 2 callers including me. Flop came A A 4. Lots of bets and raises between the other 2 players, I called until the end. They both had an A, but lost to my 444AA. The one guy says, "I didn't even know there was a third player in the hand."
The AK flop A 10 9 example is a pure winner. Yeah you will lose some, but only 1 in 10 hands (guessing). I would take charge of this hand and reraise. Just like in the school yard, you will get respect for sticking up to the bully. If you lose in the end, you might of saved some money with a reraise early by making someone think.
Further, if I'm getting bad beat alot, I just leave the table. Some days are bad luck days. That's why I cash if I win and rebankroll upon return. The competitive nature of revenge is expensive.
Good luck, unless your at my table.
