Another FreeRoll

Postby Always_Bored » Wed Apr 28, 2004 10:43 pm GMT

I get A,K suited and raise 2000 preflop. 2 callers. Flop comes A,3,K. I go all in for another 8000. one fold another calls. He has A,4 offsuit. I cant believe he called a 2000 chip raise preflop on that then calls all in with just top pair and no kicker. turn 5, river 2. Unbelievable, he catches a straight. Thats like the 10th time in a week i have lost to some idiot catching 2 runners.

The river im used to and almost expect. But we were all in after the flop and the only way he could beat me was two runners. And he got them. that really annoys me. Its still not as bad as my trip aces getting beat by runner 9 and runner 9 for quad nines last sunday. I swear i have the worst luck. And those quad nines cost me real money not just a freeroll.

i got my full house beat by quads a few weeks ago - i know that its always a risk with two same cards on the table but you never think its gonna happen

although i got lucky a few days ago
on a freeroll i got 4 queens twice in the space of like 20 minutes - suckered everyone in both times as well and made a packet

That happened to me last night. I was dealt pocket twos in the big blind. There were no raises so I checked. The flop came Q 2 x. Sweet I made my trips. I don't recall the turn but it was not a scary card at all. River comes another Q. Yes nailed the boat. At this point it was only me and one other guy left. He made a decent size bet, I put him all-in and he called. Good thing he was short stacked when he flipped pocket Q's for the quads.

The problem is, in freerolls that guy's A4 will actually win a lot against other idiots. He doesn't know you actually play good hands. He probably assumes you are as dumb as he is and are calling with ace crap as well. He's used to playing with idiots. Just take solice in the fact that he will probably never win anything unless he changes his ways. Calling with A4..pffft

Freerolls are crap. I rarely play them any more. Well actually, I rarely play at all any more after getting too mad at some bad beats. :)

I know thats why i dont get worked up over freerolls. I just like to point out peoples stupididy. And as much as freerolls bug me, i just cant turn down free money. I dont like playing with money online. Only at the casino and friends houses for me.
