Five Dice??

Postby stephanie » Sun Apr 02, 2006 11:38 am GMT

I recently bought a nice poker case with table top, chipset, buttons and all from my local Costco, but in the case there are also five dice, which are mystifying me. Also seem to be present in other chipsets I've seen in online stores.

What are they for?? Only thing I can think of is to decide who will be the first on the button, but if so, why FIVE dice??

As far as "poker dice" goes, I remember in school playing with dice that had symbols for the cards A, K, Q, J, 10, 9 on them, never using normal spotted dice to play poker!

First off welcome to the forum. :)

I also got 4 or 5 dice with my chipset, I have no idea what they are for. That's actually a good question, someone here must know.

Yeah, they're supposed to be craps dice. Before poker was big, chips sets included actual craps dice...the ones with sharp corners and printed on pips. Now cheap sets just include regular dice...rounded corners and indented pips.
