Help me Find a Monte Carlo Tourny Show
I caught an hour-long segment of a tournament last week that was really interesting but don't know the name of the show so I can look for it again. The tourny was in Monte Carlo but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Monte Carlo Millions tourny. It was sponsored by one of the online sites and had Chris Fergueson (sp?), Mike Matesou (more sp?), Devil Fish Ulliot, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negraneau (???), and one other guy, might have been Raymer. Oh, I think that Helmuth was playing.
The thing that made this interesting is that they seem to be showing every hand!! Hand after hand had one guy betting and everyone else folding, or a call to the flop and then a fold. Maybe one in ten or fewer hands were going to showdown. I'm sure that all of the WPT and WSOP producers think that this format is too boring for the mass market but I was glued to the set. It was a tremendous learning experience and the commentary was excellent--really got into theory.
Anybody know what this was? I sure want to follow it.

I saw this as well. I'm pretty sure I have it Tivo'd. I'll check when I get home and search for future showings/listings. I think it's the new tour that's starting, but I can't remember the name of it. I'll let you know after further research.
I believe it is called the Professional Poker Tour.

Yes--What Network and Title?

These are the players and this makes sense. Any idea what network it is or the exact title of the show? It was absolutely fascinating.
Thanks to all who have replied so far.

Dammit, I forgot to check the Tivo last night. I'll do so tonight since I'll have the house to myself. I'm pretty sure that I started recording it as soon as it started.

I think it aired live on FSN, so there should be re-runs.
Wench should be able to find out the exact details.

Not Even in Reruns Yet
I don't even think this is in reruns yet. The hour long episode I saw was either the second or third and they still had all six starting players at the beginning and only one elimination. I literally looks like they are showing every hand.
OK, Wenchie, everyone is counting on you. Or at least I am.

This was where the six guys were all in tuxedos, right? I saw it on FSN as well. I seem to recall it being sponsored by Full Tilt, although I don't know why Hellmuth would be there then. Unless he was just allowed into this 100K private tourney. I like it when they bet with the big placards, you can count the bet yourself before it's even announced. 8)

Okay, I checked and apparently didn't record the showing. It was on FSN if I remember correctly. I don't see any reruns listed currently. They do have the Monte Carlo Millions series which will show the entire tournament live.

The tournament in question was indeed shown as a repeat saturday night at around 11pm EST. I didn't stick around to watch to see if it was the whole tourney or just a segment, but it was only on for an hour. I guess it was just a segment.
