I'm no split game expert but isn't that a very weak starting hand? Playing split games you're trying to scoop the pot. You don't even have a low possibility let alone a good one.

Why? Your hand doesn't have much working for it. You have J10s, J10os, JJ, J6s, J6os, 106os. You have a weak high hand and no low possibility.

basically because its pot limit and im playing with not the greatest players in the world.

so I miss the flop....fine im done with it. But implied odds are so huge if I flop a set or make nut str8 or flop trip 6's ect. It costs so little to see the flop compared to what I'm going to make if I can flop a monster.

This is a 100% unplayable hand preflop. No low possibilities whatsoever and not that much in the way of high possibilities.

Unless you're getting a freeby out of the big blind, there's really no reason to even see a flop in O/8 with a hand that doesn't contain an A.

JJT6 ds? Kain I thought I taught you better than that. PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH! But given the results of the hand, I guess you learned your lesson. Now stick to it, mister.

In loose high-low games, position make very little difference when you don't have a hand, which is the case here. You need to plug this leak in your game quickly, bud.

does it matter If I told you I'm folding after the flop If i don't hit a set or make nut str8?Or if pot odds are right I'll call i'f im drawing to the nuts, Say flop comes 9Q7 and I'm getting 10 to 1 on my money.

These games are often passive on the flop, so Its common to flop a draw, see the turn for free, make the nut str8, bet the pot and get 2 callers.

5 to 1 and we have the button and you won't take a flop with this hand? ( diamond and fishy ) I'm only playing to flop a set or flop a nut str8 draw.

Oh and diamond, I by no means consider myself a strong omaha 8 player. I do considr myself a little better then the other players at the micro stakes, but thats about it.

An essential part of being a winning player is to keep your losses to a minimum. When you consistently play hands like this, all you're doing is pissing away your stack in the hopes that one time you'll get lucky and get back some of the money you've pissed away chasing it.

So you flop a set of J's. So what? A medium set like that isn't going to get you very far in O/8 most of the time. If you're lucky, it'll hold up as a high hand, but on those occassions that it does hold up, many times you're going to have to split the pot with a low hand. Big deal.

Toss it. Don't think twice about it.
