Game Strategy for Limit Hold 'Em Freerolls

Postby General Sal » Mon Feb 17, 2003 4:10 pm GMT

I was just wondering if anyone has a good basic strategy for the limit hold 'em tournaments... I play a lot of freerolls, and I'm looking for advice on playing tournaments that cap at 800 players and usually go up to that level.

A pro friend of mine plays a lot of multi table tournys. Surprisingly, one of his best finishes came when he played like a "maniac" preflop in a freeroll. He played about 90% of his starting hands, but played serious and quality poker postflop. Just an experiment you might want to try.
