yo guys. i am new to the city. i came from winnipeg, home of the barca club, casinos ten minutes from my house, and many avid poker players. this city has been harshing me out big time, cause i can't find a steady game. i'm in the downtown area and need to hook something up. probably somewhere from 20-30 buy in, no limit, limit, i don't care.

If you're looking to fill those voids between poker tourneys - there is the "Red Hot Poker Tour" playing at several bars in the Toronto area.

The drawback (or benefit?) is that it is free to enter, no cost to play. It's roughly a 100p tournament every night of the week - so you get tons of practice for no cost beside what you drink. The tour is also endorsed by our great Canuck Negreanu, who has made appearances and is part of the grand prize (tutoring).

If you want to get some practice against the unorthodox, this is it - alot of inexperienced people playing so it will test you.

I realize that plugging is bad - but at least this is in the correct thread....I wont give the website directly, but I'm you can sure figure it out from the first sentence.

If your interested in a 2/5 No Limit Game, 1/2 Pot Limit Omaha or 10/20 Limit there is a regular game in the area of Allen rd./Sheppard.

The place is called "The Unit" and they run games throughout the week. If you are interested in any of the above games you should email unitpoker@hotmail.com or call 647.829.8648

The games start @ 8pm.

I've been there and its a great game with the usual assortment of players from fish to good.

Almost forgot to mention they have a hostess to serve all your needs with respect to drinks(non-alcoholic), a wide assortment of sandwiches and other foods. If you have other questions just email or call.
