I havent sent you an email because London is to far for me to drive. Also i would be kind of weary about giving someone I dont know money before the tournament. Not saying you will steal it, its just I dont know you.

Update on tourney

Postby sweetjimmi » Fri May 07, 2004 9:28 am GMT

Here a copy of the email I have been sending around...

So tomorrow is the deadline for payment. If you have paid I thank-you very
much and would like you to know that you are a small percentage of the players
that have told me they are coming. So instead of cancelling the tourney here
is what I am going to do:

Registration starts at 10:00 am Saturday May 15th and closes at 10:45 am. The
first hand will be dealt at 11:00am. I am asking everyone who is planning on
playing to preregister by email to Jamie_Heskin@rogers.com as soon as
possible. DO NOT PREREGISTER UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO SHOW UP. There will be
no food provided since I have no idea how many people are playing. There many
fast food restaurants near by and pizza is always available via delivery.

So the Buy-in will still be $60. From that I will pay for the table and
chairs. Again since I do not have any idea how many people are coming chairs
will be first come first serve (the number chairs will be based on
preregistration) so bring a chair if possible. I will also be paying (a small
amount) to a floor person out of the funds (someone to help me run the
tourney). All remaining funds will be put into the prize pool (which will be
almost all funds).

Payout will depend on number of entrants. Example if there are around 40
players top 6 get paid on a top heavy scale (about half to first place).

When you register will need to pay, sign a waiver (releasing everyone and there
brother from any actions by you or that you are involved in), give your car
keys up (which you get back when you ready to leave sober), and will draw a
number for seat placement. Once registration closes chips will be handed out
(starting chip count is $1,000) to everyone at their seats. Again, the first
hand will be dealt at 11:00 am. Players who have prepaid there entry will
dealt into every hand and blinds will submitted for them. If they have do not
arrive by the start of the third blind level their chips will be forfeited to
the house. People who arrive after the first hand is dealt that do not prepay
will be unable to join. Therefore, show up early if you have not or do not
plan on prepaying your entry. If you want to prepay your entry we can sent
something up.

Blinds start at $5/$10 and increase every half an hour. Once you loose your
last chip you are out of the tourney. I do though encourage side games.

Please let me know ASAP is you have any questions. Also please forward this
email to anyone I may missed or anyone one that you think will be interested.

Thanks,

Jamie.

It was an excellent day (would have been better if I'd won lol) but Thanks for all the work putting it together and hope to see more of your posts in the future!
