Big bad Webby...roflmao.
I'll pass on this movie. Looks like one of those really gruesome no story line movies that suck if you take out the gore in them.
With all due respect, that is a load of balls
I actually watched this again 4 nights ago after picking up the DVD and it's definitely worth seeing. What makes it great is the atmosphere and the tension. Any gore is entirely secondary to that although I'd guess the US cut trailer makes a big deal of it and totally misses the point.
On that tangent - do you Americans know how bad your trailers are compared the ones that go out for the same movie elsewhere in the world? US trailers basically make it so that the entire plot is given to you on a plate leaving nothing left to go see while elsewhere, they are way more subtle and make you want to go see a movie. I'm not saying y'all are stupid and need spoon feeding all the details but............

Damn tell me about it. It is like they wrap the hole damn movie up into a 30 second commercial. It's frustrating to say the least....
Maybe I'll give this movie a go after all. If it can make you jump the wife would love to see it...

To be fair, we had a show on Channel 4 recently called '50 Movies to See Before You Die'. I wont bother now because they give away the ending to every single one of them.
Thanks for that.
Tards.

just saw it this week end. Not bad, though not as gory as advertised it had a good story and was a good way to kill a couple hours.

Descent is a scary movie.
Although so is a person who sees a thread title on a forum about a movie they haven’t seen yet (but wanted to). Then they wait 3 years until they catch it by random on Sky and decide to search for the thread so they can finally read/post in it.
I thought it was good. For anyone who thinks it’s all about the gore they should check the tape counter. Without spoiling anything, it’s a 2 hour movie where thing don’t even get violent until the second half. So 60 minutes or background, character setting, relationship illustration and tension before the action.
I don’t think it’s the scariest movie I’ve ever seen but these things are always very personal and subjective.

It's just like The Cave, except without all the sucking.
