Got all my money from PartyPoker
Well, I got what I had requested... $1900 from PartyPoker... and in only one day too... now I'm just waiting on $150 from Ultimate Bet to go to Neteller.

Well, of course they "can't not" pay... then again though, they are an offshore bank account are they not? I'd heard horror stories about disreputable offshore accounts that were sports books... they hadn't paid out at all. Besides, if they did decide to not pay out, then what can I do to get my money back? Just an obnoxiously safe and precautionary move on my part.
$1900 is a goodly chunk of money to me.

All my money is now safely in my bank account, and I probably will not make another deposit until after the election when I can see how all of this pans out.
In the meantime, I plan to hit up the casinos frequently. At least I still have that option open to me, and I'm no longer dependent on the micro stakes... my sincere condolences to everyone who is. This legislation sucks ass.

From what we know, Party is closing money games to US players, but Stars has yet to do so. You will not be able to make a deposit to or from either with your bank account, but Neteller is still OK.
Pull your money out of Party because it will be useless.
Stars is ok if you plan to do everything through Neteller, although I still want to wait and see.

Wow, 50% of Party's player base is from countries other than usa, would they just steal everyone's bankroll and scare away the non american players as well? Also they're a publicly traded company, I really don't see how anyone can worry about the money they have in their accounts.

Any plans to redeposit elsewhere Sal?
I'm not sure yet.... which cardrooms are active and willing to continue to be active that you'd recommend?

This isn't about Party "stealing" your money, but rather difficulties in getting your money back thru financial institutions.
Altho I imagine sites which do block US players will follow Crypto's example and mail you a cheque, so make sure your contact details are up to date.
I'm obv. not gonna recommend any site, because I don't want you coming after me when it all goes sour
But, here's a list of responses from various sites:

I can't believe this actually went through. The "land of the free" indeed.
Just wanted to wish all the American players good luck, but this is what you get for electing an idiot like Bush.
Hopefully this will all blow over and we can get back to doing what we love. And playing poker
