ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh man I'm mad. Just finished 10th in a freeroll that gave seats to a real money tourney for the final 9. Last hand was a doozy. Here it is. Two tables of 5 players each. I have 10-9 in the small blind, everyone folds to me. I call, BB checks. Flop is Q T 8. I check, BB bets minimum. (At this stage in the tourney, pretty much the only bet is the minimum, everyone wants to stay alive). I call. Turn is a 3. BB bets again, I call. (I thought about going all-in here, since it was over half my stack, but decided against it) River comes 9. This gives me two pair, but did I really want it? Lots of straights possible now. BB bets min again, putting me all in. I think about it... and call. Right decision? Right or wrong, I think I played this hand the only way I could. If I fold, I'm left in terrible position and need to double up a few times to get back in it. If I call and win, I take down a massive pot, probly putting me in the top 5. Plus, I put the guy on having two high cards (possibly a Q, but thats no problem now or a low pocket) So, we flip over our cards, and guess what the raiser has....
A-J???????
I could not believe it. I'm hoping you will all tell me I played this hand right? I'm gonna be going over this hand in my head for days.

well..... sorta
personally I woulda gone over the top of him sooner, to block out the draws. Slowplaying after the flop made sense, but if you keep giving free cards, they can do that to you. So maybe just smooth call once, and then next time go over the top of him.
thats just my .02

I think you played it way wrong. I would have just folded right away. And if I did call to see the flop I would have folded to a raise. You only had an inside straight draw.

By the sounds of it you were realy short stacked. If you hit on the flop you should have been in but, Maybe im reading wrong no sleep all and trying to keep moving. lol If you didnt have much and he had a stack he still would have called i think.

should not have made the blinds up. After posting the small blind you didn't have enough to cover even 3 big blinds so at that point you should be thinking of either all in pre flop or fold up shop pre flop. With T9 off I think it should have been the latter in most situations.
