Nothing important but Carson, Adam, and Genocidal
Carson, Adam , and Genocidal: First of all, you guys run a kick-ass site, but I was just wondering more about you guys. I see Genocidal is an accountant but what do you Carson and Adam do besides take newbies like me for a run? Just wondering where all you guys play and how often. As of now, I'm doing the online fake$(which I know is useless once you figure out what you're doing) and beating the shit out of my friends that will play with me in home games.(which it's hard to find alot of takers lately) I've gotten alot of great info off this site and check in about every hour for updates on the forum. I'm not trying to pry, just interested. Maybe I'll see you guys sooner later live or just learn something while you beat me up online. I didn't know where to place this so I figured this was as good as any spot. Hopefully Genocidal won't ban my IP LOL. Cya guys

Hehe, I'm not an angry person I swear! If u don't advertise, ur golden
I take my hat off to Carson & Adam who are the true owners and runners of this site. I happened across this site a couple of days after it came into existence purely by chance searching on Google and I'm sure glad I did!
After a few months posting messages and getting to know Carson better I got him on my AIM list and asked if they needed a forum mod. He said yes and I've been here ever since talking out my ass and deleting the odd thread or two. Censorship is NOT the name of the game for me, I hope no1 feels at all hard done by, I only delete advertising threads, everything else has a valid place here.
As for wot I do with myself? Well, I live in the UK and I graduated from uni this summer. I landed myself a job as a trainee accountant (I need to bankroll my poker playing somehow
) a year ago and needed a 2.1 in my degree which I got so they obliged and took me on. I'm doing a professional degree while working 39hrs a week so my spare time is not very big.
I haven't played poker in about 2 months now cos sitting in front of my computer in the summer seems crazy! I did all my poker playing at uni where I won a big league last year after 22 hard fought games and I won a big ass trophy for my troubles 8) My online play will return soon but I have my first round of professional exams coming up which I have to study for so it won't be for a while yet. Any spare time I have at the moment is used doing the new love of my life - BMX riding :D I can't get enuff of it so poker is a mere memory at the moment!
When I play, I'm at Ultimate Bet under the name of Genocidal (natch) but don't add me to ur buddy list just yet
I tend to only really play tourneys at the moment as I don't really like online play bcos real life play is so so much better imho. My next real life tourney is scheduled for June 2004 which is the 3rd outing of an annual poker tournament I started while I was at uni (named after me
) which I finished 3rd in last year and hope to win in 2004.
After my contract is up in 2006 and I'm a fully qualified accountant, I plan to emigrate to the US and start playing poker seriously. Obviously, this is very much dependent on wot else happens in my life in the next 3 years but we all have to have a dream huh?
Well, I've bored u enuff, it's Adam & Carson's turn now
PS. My name is Andy

Thanks for the reply Andy. I was only messing with you about deleting. I understand some people will try anything for free advertising. Thanks for the info. And don't worry about me looking for any games with you guys yet. I haven't been playing long and I'm still having fun learning, which means whipping my friends at home for real $ and racking up almost $20,000 of play $ on Pokerrrom.com. Maybe in three years when you get here i'll be game. We'll head out to Vegas and do some work. Talk to you later.

Hey Brett,
First of all, thanks for the compliments on the site... Its feels great to get positive feedback from visitors, and keeps us motivated to make the site better.
My story really isn't all that impressive. I've only been playing hold'em for about three years now, but its been a period of intense study for me. Once I became interested in the game, I gobbled up every poker book I could find, and put in countless hours of play.
I learned the game in a rather backwards fashion, playing no limit hold'em at first and then moving down to limit games. After playing no limit exclusively for my first year or so, I discovered how much easier it is to play limit games and began regularly playing $5/$10 or $10/$20 for some extra cash.
The past few months, I've gotten hooked on no limit tourneys, and try to hit up a few tournaments a week if I can.
I'm 23 years old, and look like a smartass kid. Not bad for projecting a false table image when I can get out to Vegas.

Thanks for the reply Carson. Sounds to me like I'm pretty much on the same path as you. As of now, I'm buying books I hear people on this site recommend and playing every second I get online and home games. I've only been playing a few months now, as you can probably tell by my post a few weeks back about how a kicker works, but with the time I'm putting in I'm improving quickly. I haven't made it out to Vegas yet either, me being in Georgia, but I did take in a few hundred bucks off the blacjack tables in Boloxi. I watched a few hands of poker and ran my ass back to the $5 blacjack and quivered in fear. Oh well, maybe we'll all meet up somtime in Vegas and have some fun. Later on.
