question about blinds

Postby jamerican » Tue Oct 31, 2006 4:47 pm GMT

hello, sorry to bother you, i have a question about blinds. Here is the scenario: Let's say there are 5 people, numbered 1-5. Position 5 is the dealer, which makes position 1, small blind and position 2, big blind. Let's say that position 1, position 2 and position 3 go all in and position 1 wins and takes out position 2 and position 3. How do the blinds work on the next hand? Position 2 would be the small blind and position 3 would be the big blind, but since they are gone, where do the blinds go?

Thanks,

James

move the button to the next remaining player (1). 4 and 5 will be the sb and bb.

Thanks. Here is another question. I know that when it is down to 2 players, the dealer is the sb. So let's say there are 3 people (1-3). Position 3 is the dealer, 1 is sb and 2 is bb. In this hand, position 3 gets eliminated. In the next hand, would position 1 be the small blind again? or in this special situation the dealer would be big blind?

Position 4 will be the big blind and there will be no small blind for that one hand. The button goes player 1 and then on the following hand, the button goes to one of the empty seats and then player 4 will be the small blind and player 5 will be the big blind.

Player 1 will be the big blind and Player 2 will be the Dealer.

you can also do the moving button rule if you don't want to do the dead button for this situation... just depends on your preference.
