Party Poker tournaments...
I am looking at starting to play some tournaments online. I have accts at PacificPoker and Party Poker (I will check out Ultimatebets next). Party Poker has multitable and single table tournaments going all the time. What is the deal w/ the single table tournaments??? They are usually a $40 buyin w/ $10 (to the house I am assuming). Are these winner take all or some kind of qualifiers?
Can anyone recommend some Party Poker tournaments, I prefer NL and can play most evenings or weekends?
Thanks!
Also-people complain about party poker. What dont you like? I have had no server problems, I like the number of players and the variety of game. People on the site talk about the number of bad beats-I would say that is a result of a lot of dumb players sticking around gambling on catching cards. This will cost you some big pots, but it is good in the long run (my thinking anyway).

UB.com
Ill give you some advice, I looked for exactly what you are in a poker site, and my advice, dont touch PartyPoker with a million foot pool. Goto UltimateBet.com or Pokerstars.com both are great tournys and UB.com is the better overall site. PartyPoker has nothing going for it.

Hey Mr-do you play as Drew on pacificpoker??? If so, I think we have had some battles.
Anyway-played some NL single table tournaments last night at partypoker. 1st on $30+3 lost in 5 hands. 2nd -$30+3 won the table and $150. 3rd 50+5 finished 3rd for $100.
This format is nice if you like NL, people cant wait around forever for decent cards and cant go all in then turn around and rebuy-makes for a fun game.
Do ultimatebet or other sites offer these games?

ULTIMATEBET.COM!
UltimateBet.com is the ONLY poker site around worth playing at, besides maybe PokerStars.com and TruePoker.com. PartyPoker is just terrible and so are their tournaments, just goto UB.com, take my word for it, and I have an account at Pacific but used it once just to check it out, and I hated not having NLH. My name on UB.com is TheLegendary, so come check me out sometime, goto www.UltimateBuddy.com and dl the friends list for UB.com and you can see where i am, btw did I mention UB.com is the best site around?

Well I whenever I get to $300 I cash out back to $200-so a bad run and I will be done. As it stands, I am getting $100 about every other day-not bad for 2 hours a day. Raising kids and managing $6 billion for a bank keeps getting in the way of poker!
I am sure that I will see you at Ultimate bets. Can I get you a bonus when I make a deposit?

Tourney
I have to disagree with some of you guys. Ultimate bet is best for pot games, hands down. Party Poker albsolutley rules for tourneys. I have played welll over 100 tourneys on Party Poker. The single table tourneys are frequent and plentiful. I have never waited to enter a tourney. Log in and click. They usually fill up in less than 1 minute and a new one at that buy in level appears within 2 minutes. As for Multi table tourneys, nearly everyday you can join a tourney with 500+ people.
More Kuckleheads on Party Poker? Absolutely!
But for tourneys Party dominates, unless you like waiting, higher chances of collusion, and smaller winnings.

ive been playin low limt tournys and ring games at partypoker.com for 4 months and managed to roll my account 7 times.......tons of fish, membership up about 15,000 since i started..........the cheaper entry tournys are extremely soft and the promo-multi tables are easy to crack into for free........if u can manage the bad graphics, its worth playin....
