Odds
Played a hand just a few minutes ago and a few of us were wonering what the odds are of this happening. None of us are any good at figuring odds so please help us.
Heads Up. Flop 7-8-10 rainbow
Player one goes all in with 6-9 for a straight
Player two calls with 8-Q for a pair. (why he called I don't know)
Turn 6
River 9
split pot.
Does anyone know what his odds after the flop of getting a split pot.
Thanks!

A little clarification since Sean could have written anything (and probably did
)
On the turn, a 6 or 9 is required but we know two are in play so the odds of that are 6/44. After that comes, we need one of the three 6s or 9s depending on the turn card which leaves 3/43.
6/44 x 3/43 = 0.95%
Sorry Sean, you suck my friend

52 cards in the deck...not 51. There are seven known, not six.
But, my calculations were wrong anyway. I did 6/45 x 5/44.
0.91%

I deducted the burnt card
Also, how can 5 outs on the river be true in this scenario? If you need to hit on the turn AND river, by definition there must be only 3 outs left on the river right?

Yes, that's why I said my calculations were wrong. I was just explaining how I got my incorrect number the first time.

Of all my shortcomings, this is pretty far down on the list.
