Chipco prices on the rise?
I've been looking at getting some Chipco chips. I've been researching their site for about a month now trying to decide on which chips to get. Today, I noticed that their prices are now $1.10 per piece. What? I thought they were around $0.80 just the other day.
That's what I get for researching too much.
What I really would like to find are the Chipco plaques or octagon chips. Have you seen "The Good Thief"? Plenty of those chips used there....I just love the style. But nobody sells this style for the home sets. I guess the demand isn't there. I would be willing to pay the price per piece but cannot afford the minimum pieces to buy.
The search continues.

They are getting ready to release some new home sets. Their price rise is a reaction to the marketplace and demand which is at an all-time high. With good clay chips now not available to the public directly, people are flocking to the Chipco sets. I bought 1000 for $700 total after shipping and everything a couple months ago as I imagined the price would rise in a similar fashion as the clay TH&C chips have.
The market is really dividing right now, very cheap metal slug weighted chips that get cheaper by the day and high end ceramic/clay chips. You will see many new chips trying to catch the "tweeners" but remember that the "tweener" chips will not hold their value in the long run...
