News from the collector side...sort of...
This is NOT an endorsement from your moderator, just something that might be of interest that was intended for consumption by chip collectors.
I am posting a link here to the site where I buy my "collectable" limited edition casino chips. These are good people, very reliable, who've been in the business of working with collectors for years. The reason for the posting the link is, as you will see if you choose to follow it, that these folks are now the distributor for custom made Chipco chips. This is your state of the art high-end graphic chip and the same technology which was only available to the casinos for limited editions. As many of you have pointed out, it was recently made available to the public (if they want to spend the dough). It's weird--I collect this type of chip, but I'd never play with them. Don't care for the feel. But here's a post right from the horse's mouth for those of you contemplating designing your own set. Personally I like building a set from scratch from old Paulson casino chips, mostly because I think they have long term resale value. Of course I could be dead wrong on that!
