Dynamite Freeroll on 9/20

Postby Adamm » Sat Sep 20, 2003 9:37 pm GMT

I know you guys are in awe of my poker skills and stuff...
But seriously, my AK got cracked by QJo! Damnit!
I noticed that a lot of your frequent posters got nailed pretty quick too. I'm sure you AA got busted by 27o...
Next time Carson and I are colluding! :)

Had a great time. At least the hand that took me out wasn't so bad. My pocket Q's, taken by Pocket A's.
Can't complain, I had 4 6's early on...

Thank you so much for the opportunity last night.
I can not wait for the next one.
Just wondering if the time / day is going to change, or are we going to stay with 7pm (cdt) on Saturday?

Thanks,

Hugo

Maybe we should have "texasholdem-poker.com Player of the Year"... It'd include a point scale, kinda like the cardplayer.com Player of the Year... for bragging rights! LOL... plus I wanna know who won

Freeroll

Postby Adamm » Mon Sep 22, 2003 1:34 am GMT

The sad thing is that we have no way of knowing who was who on the forum. I knew who Tonytal and a few others were, but not everyone's dynamitepoker name matched with their name in the forum. I'm not sure who in the forum it was that took 1st place. His handle on dynamite is Rudeboy. 2nd place was Benjua, or B3 on dynamite. Third was tonytal.
I had a good time, and we may do one again soon!

No I wasn't there. I still do not entirely know what a freakin' freeroll is, or what this whole forum is about. Any help would be appreciated. And tell me of any new "freerolls" if it's just nothing but texas holdem' tournaments. Which are fine by me.

Vendetta, Ill help you. This freeroll tourny was Texas Holdem. Freeroll means, it requires NO money to enter, unlike the 10,000 WSOP Final or a 1$ tourny on UltimateBet.com. I love freerolls except for the fools who know its free and playing, off their rocker and catch good cards on you. Also for those who care about furthering poker tournys, I can discuss with a few connections with UltimateBet.com in setting up one, chances are it wont be a freeroll, all depends on how good my friends are.

Ok listen up, this should bring me some ridicule but realize I think Poker is an intriging (spelled wrong, so shoot me) game and I enjoy to play it just as much as you guys. I am 14........Is that a serious problem?

It's only a serious problem for you rather than us as u can't legally gamble. Your best bet is to just read about the game at the moment and play for fake money online to apply some of what u read. It's hard to do much more til ur nearer 21.....

no problem

Postby Leo McDermott » Sat Oct 04, 2003 7:01 pm GMT

I think the only problem is that if you keep it up, you're probably going to be the next big young player. (The problem is that you'll probably be cleaning us older guys out) Keep playing and read as much as you can and I'm SURE that by the time your 21st birthday hits, you can hit a casino and clean house! Good luck!

^ Yeah, that is basically what I THINK will happen as well, if I were to stay inspired...unfortunately i'm very confident I will not. I just have stages where I am serious about things, first it was the army, then soccer, video games, cards--poker and so on. I do play for fake money, obviously but most likely when I hit 15 or before that I will probably lose interest, but who knows...Hopefully any skills I have developed will have stayed with me, and I will be able to read some books and be a good player. I read Layne Flack was seriously playing around 16 and that Doyle started in college, and sometimes later than that. So altogether, realistically, it's not THAT important I believe to start off when you are young. Thank you, well, the people that have responded so far, for not berating me and joking over me for coming here at such a stupid age.
