PL Omaha High Turbo SNG
I had just won a NL holdem SNG and quickly wanted to enter another one. As is my normal practice, I step up one level if I take 1st. Also, I was on Full Tilt and hadnt played there for some time. So, I see a SNG w/ 8 seated players and rush to get in (I dont want to have to wait 30-45 seconds for a new table to fill).
What do I see, 4 cards dealt to me....oops! I fold a couple hands to find out what I am playing. I then chat "I am not terrible at Ohama, but I thought I was entering a holdem tourney, DOH!".
3-4 hands in KQ77 double suited I call, 5-6 way action. Flop 7 9 J w/ 2 hearts, not bad, set, nut straight draw. I bet pot, 2-3 call and I am check raised. I know he must have 10 8, but I have a ton of outs, so I reraise, one calls he moves in, I call, other calls. Turn 9 river heart. Straight vs flush vs boat, triple up.
NEXT HAND, I get KK33 and raise pot. Flop K32 and bet pot and put others all in on turn. No one improves and I take out 2 more players.
Now I have 6800 or so and all others are under 1300. So I just max raise preflop and on the flop every hand. I was hitting everything (including another boat KQJ9 flop KJx turn J) and took out everyone in under 40 hands. W/ only 5 left, no one wanted to take a stand. When I was heads up it was 12k+ to 1200.
Very lucky, yes, but fun(ny).
