Wanted to update you guys on card protectors/dealer buttons!

Postby dealerbuttons.com » Wed May 12, 2004 11:46 pm GMT

I've been out playing tourney's and stuck on PP/PS in mutli and SNG's but I've had a few e-mails from TH-P.com members interested in some of the new card protector designs.

We're getting all kinds of crazy requests, and have had a lot of fun making them. I appreciate you guys' enthusiasm and support!

Anyways, here's some pieces that we've been working on. If you have something in mind that you'd like to see on a personal piece shoot me a PM or an e-mail at sales@dealerbuttons.com.

Here's how the brass inserts look after we cut them and have them ready to press into the buttons!

And here's how they look complete (the engraving always looks a little funky with flash photography, but it's perfect in person!)

Here's some other examples, including blinds buttons that match our stainless steel engraved dealer buttons, and other custom requests we've done over the last few weeks.

And blind buttons to go with it in 1.5" diameter brass / steel!

Kinda blurry in the pic, but very intricately cut gecko

And we've done a LOT more. Brass dogs, moose, car emblems, club names, superman logos, sports teams, you name it.

Anyways, just thought I'd share with you guys. If anyone needs anything let me know. I'm always lurking ;)

Sent you an e-mail adam. What's the standard turn around time? I'd like to give one away to our tournament champion on 5-29-04.

Turn around time is around 7-10 days, each of these pieces can take up to 7 hours to make. If you were to look at the cost of machine time on a wire EDM, lathe and CNC mill, you'd see that these prices are actually cheap! Luckily for me we own the $950,000 worth of equipment ;)

I'm getting back to all the e-mails today.

Adam,

Update from a guy who bought from your first batch of dealer buttons. I'm ashamed to say that last night was my first night to finally be able to use it! I've been busy with buying and moving into my new house.

Just wanted to let you know that everyone I played with was very impressed, and this is just the standard dealer button, no inlay. Great quality piece, everybody wanted to know where I got it.

Question, have you thought about doing card protectors that are smaller in diameter than the dealer buttons, or is that not possible/cost prohibitive? I'm thinking more along the lines of the size of a chip vs. the dealer button.

Again, great work and it sounds like things are taking off for you.

Hey - that's great to hear. Hope our buttons brought you luck! This is Jacque (I'm working with Adam).

To answer your question, yes - we can do smaller card protectors - the 1.5" diameter like our small and big blinds (on the website). Since they're smaller, there will be some limitations with the customization (what will fit, etc).

Thanks for the positive feedback and let us know when you're ready for your custom button!

Adam,
Just received my second card protector (my personal one). Great job! I am very impressed. Thank you for taking the time to retrace the sketch I sent.

The first one that I purchased from you that I used as part of the first place prize for our last tournament went over awesome with the guys and looked perfect. My only problem is that now, I need to buy one for each tournament because the guys want a shot at winning one in addition to the prize money. Thankfully, I added the date to the first one so if they win more than one they can show it off like a badge. Albeit a heavy badge.

Again, thanks for the quality and excellent communication. I normally wouldn't make a post like this but I really did appreciate everything. I just wish most companies would offer the same level of professionalism. I look forward to doing business with you in the future. Next time I have a confirmed tournament date that is...

K-rug... it was absolutely my pleasure and I appreciate your patience with the buttons! I hope your card protector brings you luck and $ :) I had a guy who we made a really cool steel on steel card protector with his initials JQ raised in steel... he played a big tourney and won with a Jack/Queen and he blamed it on the card protector ;) Hopefully you enjoy the same fortune.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you in the future!
