Use Firefox browser, it has a built in one.
Keep Java and javascript turned off except when you visit a site like youtube helps too.

Yea, I use firefox and I only get the occasional one on weather.com and a few news sites.

The missus uses ie for some reason and this is more for her.

If your using XP just download IE 7. It has one built in.

Firefox is still pretty much ftw. Throw in Spybot and Ad-Aware and you should be set. It's worked for me, but I don't go trolling for pr0n, you dirty, dirty boy.
