Poker After Dark cash game
the new season of PAD started, and its a 6max cash game... with durr, cunningham, hellmuth, mike baxter, viffer and guy laliberte
use this topic to discuss the episodes. i think it should be fun. cash games are like 10 times more interesting to watch and the 6max table should be good. also i believe PAD shows all hands so there should be more ways of getting to know the table dynamics/game flow as opposed to HSP where there were like 4 hands per episode

Awesome TV. Although watching Phil is putting me on life tilt right now.
Does he play bad on TV on purpose? I don't get it.
If he is totally serious in his all his table talk, I am pretty convinced I understand the game better than Phil does, even if I don't play as well.
I am reasonably impressed with durrrr. Used the think the guy was a bit of a D-bag, but I am coming around. He's just so dead-pan in his delivery of everything it's hard to tell when he's kidding.

This is in my TV listings as showing almost every night at 2AM on NBC. Are these all different episodes, or just a new one every week like HSP?

He's still kind of a douche. He seems quite uncomfortable in a social setting which is probably a product of being a 14hr a day online poker geek. Someone like Allen Cunningham knows how to handle himself at the table and others should follow suit!
Episode one was not bad but agreed that Hellmuth is just horrible at cash games. He may even be worse here than on HSP.

In ep3, Dwan makees that crazy call with dueces. What did you guys think about that? I lol when the commentator said " end of phil hellmuth if tom makes this call" Im not exactly sure what Dwan put helmuth on but what I believe got him to lay it down was Phils massive value bet on river.

I've never used pokertube, this was the only video i could find. Ideally id like to watch the series from the begining. Do they always have the player commenting on their own hands or is that only part of the directors cut. http://www.pokertube.com/Movies.aspx?mo ... ark&list=9

lol at the retarded commentary:
Pot on turn or river is $25K. Durr bets $22,500. Opponent folds.
"And Durr rakes in a pot that is almost fifty thousand dollars!"
And I've never seen a pro calculate insurance correctly! Helmuth is a 19:1 favorite and people are laying him 25:1!!!

I dont get that hand at all, he reraises preflop with AKs, picks up TPTK on the flop, then checks in down to the river and complains when the guy hit his gutshot straight that he let him draw to for free. I mean, i literally dont understand his line at at all.

Hellmuth is not a good cash game player. Why do you think they all put up with his bullshit? No one would tolerate that from a guy who wasn't a major spot in the game. David Peat said as much this week on the 2+2 Pokercast.

hellmuth just made the most retarded commentary ever in episode 13.
"See, remember what i told you. You can tell Wasicka has a hand because of the way he pushed his chips in"
What a phenomenal tell, considering he was calling to put himself all-in its not really the most spectacular peice of deduction to work out he has a hand.
