officially a fish
well... it's official.. over the last 6 months my online winrate is
...
....
.....
+$118.36 with a winrate of - 0.54 ptbb/100
this is my results from PT for the last 6 months over a little less than 14k hands... i know it's a smallish sample size but it still says something...
i'm still up 122$ overall from what i lose in tourney and win in homegames.. but still it saddens me... this is a first for me

So? You're a winning player. If you're enjoying yourself and working at the game, you shouldn't feel bad just because you don't fabricate an insane winrate like the idiots at 2+2.

yeah i know... winning player and all... this is more probably just a rant than anything...
just the past 6 months have really felt like an uphill battle where the hill keeps getting steeper and steeper...
also the frusteration and self doubt that comes with a long downswing like this.. not to mention the jealousy of watching newer (and even season) players skyrocket to ridiculous limit withing far less time than i've played.. (man i'm starting to realize how pav feels)... i'm starting to feel realy bad for ripping on him so much now (don't worry pav.. I believe you when you say you're not gay.. and you do have poker skillz.. you'll show us all one day when you're able to not lose all your stakage)...
also i've always wondered about this.. you'll see posts like "yeah.. i'm at 75 bb/100 over 400k hands at 10-25NL in my last 6 months" and i always wonder who the hell are these people... 1) how are these winrates even possible... 2) why the hell would the lie about something like that ... 3) if you can play so godlike why not move up... even a few lvls... 7bb/100 at 50-100NL is way better than 12bb/100 at 10-25NL

first, in poker terms this is a very short break even period. Though its 6 month, its only 14k hands. Some of us do this in less then a week.
2nd, thought it could possibly be due to bad luck, its more likely due to few leaks.
I've been breaking even this entire year. My database only starts from June, but I played 230k hands for a very impressive -0.49BB/100
sure I had some very rough patches where my KK/AK always run into AA. my AA got cracked all the time and my flopped nuts would be drawn out on (straight< two pairs, sets<FD etc...) but honestly, most of it is due to my own leaks.
I still got tons of leaks and still constantly work on my game, and I do get better.
Just keep working. You really can't get better at poker without playing tons of it.
