Joined a $2/4 FL ring game that was just starting up on Stars tonight. The first thing I do is scan the table looking for the player notes icons and to see if there are any regulars. Was doing this when I did an absolute double-take:

Guy next to me, Xaropinha, had a $25,300 buy-in!!

This guy played very aggressively for about ten minutes after I joined and then left, but not before dumping a little of his stack my way.

I used to buy in the .04/.08 stud game for about 2k, raise every pot till showdown for about 10 min and bail. wasnt very fun really but killed alittle time waiting for a MTT to start.

i once sat down on prima with a fairly big ammount on a 0.50/1 FL table.. peoples reactions were pretty funny. some were offended and got angry, others were surprised and then some were asking for money

Well, once happened to me, after I hit BBJ for the first time, by some mistake I sat down at FL ring and clicked MAX buy in. I was really surprised it allowed me to bring my whole bankroll there (about 94K that time). But I have left right away, no reactions.

I was playing 3/6FL at Bally's in June about 5am and was about to cash out when some drunk college kid sat down with a buy-in of $800. He raised every pot and dumped about $300 of it before I decided to leave. I took about $75 off him on one hand with KK capped all the way when I rivered a K ftw

I always buy into cash games short. I know people say it is a mistake but for me it is a matter of bankroll management. Once when I was playing at the fish pond known as Doyle's Room, there was someone who brought in a massive roll of several thousand dollars to play at the $0.10/$0.20 tables. They would raise every hand and sometimes raise enough to make people risk an entire buy-in. I waited patiently till I had a hand and position. Everytime it happened I wound up doubling up. If memory serves me correctly I took like $50 off this clown in just a couple short hours.

It wasn't limit. It was NL. I do not know how he bought in because he was already sitting at the table when I got there. I can't imagine him winning that much at those low stakes. So I assume he bought in with most if not all of it.
