!st Live tourney...stategy
OK, last night I went to the poker pub and played a $1/$2 no limit game with a bunch of rich players, I crashed! These guys just bought pots! Even announced it. I'm trying to play good hands, but don't have the stack, fine, I lost.
Tonight I want to play a tourney, probably the same jokers, but we should all be even stacked. $10 buy in unlimited rebuys for 1st two hours. I might do 1 rebuy if I have to.
My strategy is to play tight, and hang onto my chips.
I know these guys are gonna lie, cheat and steal blinds. OK, fine.
I play better in tourneys because I play straight good poker, but i'm concerned about these rich guys goin all in every hand to steal the blinds and not having to worry about rebuys.
I win most of my money online doing tourneys/ freezeouts. I'm wondering about some basic advice about handling bullys. Usually, I just play my good hands and let them knock each other out with their all ins, but the rebuys....
In the long run I know good playing will win after rebuy period is over, what's some advice on staying alive if ppl steal the blinds, get ahead and then play bingo with their big stacks????

I don’t understand how you can “not have the stack for good handsâ€

Ok, thanks for changing my attitude.... It does make sense, I guess I am so tight a player, I fold to them. Cause, really, they could have a better hand.
Well, I'll give it a shot and let you know. Thank You for your comment. I appreciatee it.

seems to me like you play out side of your BR, which in turn make you play scared money.
As for rebuy tournaments, you should generally have at least 3XBI. Especially the cheaper one in which people will gamble a lot in the rebuy period. Nothing is worse then folding for an hour then getting it in with AA vs 3 players and losing to 73s, which will happen way more often then you'd think.
Also, not adding on is a big disadvantage.
