Hold'em Blinds Question

Postby aenigma » Sun Oct 19, 2003 4:10 am GMT

I was just play some Texas Hold'em with my friends, tournament style (where top half of players gets *something*). Players are started to get weeded out, and we ended up with situations concerning blinds (ie. who should pay the big, since they get skipped, etc).

Scenario:

players 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are in. Player 1 on button. On this hand, player 2 loses all the chips.

Question:
On the next deal, who should post what blinds? (if 2 was still in, 3=small, 4=big. Now, 3=button, and 4 got skipped big blind).

What is the most common way to deal with this?

When we played tonight, this happened consecutively (ie. 2 would be out, then the next round, 4 would be out).

Any suggestions?

I could always be wrong but. If the player knocked out is to be the small blind on the next round, there is no SB just BB. If the player knocked out is to be the button on the next round the button sits on his spot and the hand is played as if he was still in. The next round the button is moved like normal.

I disagree, the Deal (Button) passes to the left to the next available player reguardless, it doesn't matter who or how many dropped out. The deal always passeS one place to the left after each hand and their should ALWAYS BE A LARGE AND SMALL BLIND!
