local B&M casino which game to play?
heading to the local geriatric relief society AKA the peppermill casino in Wendover. Bringing a bankroll of around.$200. Playing in one $50+5 tourney and looking to sit down at a table with the rest. My question is $150 enough to sit at a 2/5nl table or should I stick to their no foldem 1/2 limit game?

2/5NL or 1/2 limit?????
1/2 would be brutal just trying to beat the rake. 2/5 you are very short, but I think that is the better play. Unless, of course, you actually just want to play instead of have a chance to leave w/ some money.
Win the SNG, put it all on 2/5, double up a few times then move to 1/2 get hammered and raise every pot every street until you are down to $500 and then buy a hooker, some blow and go home.

That's easy cause wendover hookers are also the waitresses and just need to give a wink and $3 tip and the old hag is between the sheets. I figure if I just play tight I can pickup a few pots to increase my BR to loosen up a little more

Well day before I left I took down a $1000 freeroll for $200 to make my BR a bit more for wendover. Got out there just in time for the SnG registration but GF and other friends had not arrived yet so gave my seat away
jumped on $5 blackjack to pass the time and by the time they got there turned $20 into $115. Took that to go play what I said was 1/2 limit but was 1/5 limit (which is there is only one blind of $1 and any one can bet/raise $1 to $5 on every street). Only reason I played limit was cause friend wanted to play so I sat and gave him tips on how he should have played a hand. Was down $40 in the first hour cause I played super tight to get a read on the table and only reason I was down was my set of 4s ran into a set of 10s. 2nd hour was on a heater and was up around $60. Made only a few bad plays the whole 6hrs I played that night but they all paid off and made me money but after the hand I realized I should have folded after the flop, ie pocket tens with flop KQ4r the bet was only $5 and around 25 in the pot 3 of us in hand. Turn was a J bet was $5 now I had 10 outs and made the call river was As no flush on the board so I donked the nuts on the river I led out with 5 and both players called I show my nut straight and both show their hands one KQ one a set of 4s, both visibly irritated that I sucked out on them. Left table after 6hrs or so almost tripling up the $115 I bought in for. Decided not to stay the night and drove back to SLC. Not a huge win but happy with how I played for the most part. Heading backout this weekend by myself to sit and play NL. Sorry Dave no hookers and no blow maybe this weekend

you should always try and sit down with at least 100 times the big blind in ANY game. i agree a 1/2 no limit game would be a better option.. it sounds weird aswell that they have a 2/5 no limit and a 1/2 limit... would be more sensible to have a 2/5 limit game and 1/2 no limit ... both for the player and the rake .
